James 1:27

I have followed Katie's blog for some time now - found her when I first began our research on Ethiopian adoption. Her story is so amazing - she is such a testimony to truly living the Bible and living God's dream for us - not our own.

Timeline to T

3/3/12 - See T's adorable photo in a update email from a SN China's waiting children advocacy group and text it to John. Inquire with her agency.

3/5/12 - Learn from the agency that "Charlotte" (her agency's assigned name) is on hold for another family who is pursuing her adoption. Submit a pre-application in order to view other files from this agency.

3/7/12 - Learn that the family pursuing "Charlotte" was not granted Pre-approval from China and that we can now view her file.

3/12/12 - With a lot of prayer and faith we "lock" her file. We have two weeks to obtain medical advice and fill out the pre-approval applications and care plans.

3/26/12 - Our pre-approval packet is emailed to the agency to be translated and submitted to the CCAA for their review.

4/10/12 - We receive Pre-Approval (PA) for the adoption of "Charlotte" - "T!"

5/17/12 - First home study visit.

5/24/12 - Second home study visit.

5/31/12 - Third home study visit.

7/10/12 - Our home study is approved by our placement agency.

8/15/12 - Fingerprint appointment at USCIS.

8/20/12 - Received our 797 immigration approval for fingerprints.

9/25/12 - DTC (Dossier is sent to China).

10/9/12 - LID (Log in Date).

10/18/12 - Dossier is translated and "in process" according to the CCAA.

12/11/12 - LSC (Letter Seeking Confirmation in 64 days).

12/31/12 - Received I-800 approval.

1/4/13 - Receive email confirmation that our visa application has been cabled to Guangzhou, China.

1/23/13 - Article 5 has been picked up from the US Consolate and expressed mailed to the CCCWA to await our travel notice.

2/7/13 - TA (Travel Acceptance)!

2/8/13 -March 19 CA assigned (consolate appt.)!

3/8/13 - travel to China.

3/11/13 - Gotcha Day!

3/19/13 - Appt. with the US consulate

3/21/13 - travel home!
