At 2pm on Monday the 11th, we headed to the Civil Affairs Building. When we walked into the upstairs adoption office we finally met our daughter - she was waiting there with three officials from her orphanage. Since she never resided in the orphanage, these officials had picked her up at her foster home that morning and driven her the two hours to meet us in Wuhan. What a brave little girl on a very difficult day for her.
The first day could not have gone any better. Truly. She is tiny and adorable. At first she was shy and was a bit resistant when it came time to leave with us, but smiley and sweet and playful and happy for almost the entire day.
So without further blabbing on, let me introduce you to our new daughter -
Amelia Xiaoting Snell
Enjoy the photos of our first day together (I had to wait until the finalization paperwork today til I could post these!). So sorry that there are some duplicate photos, a few out of order, and photos are too big for the borders. I am working with several cameras, spotty Internet, a so-so blogging app, and an ipad to blog with - it doesn't allow for anything too fancy!
