Our itinerary...it's really happening...

So here's the plan...Yes, we will be, in a matter of a few days, on our way to our little girl!

March 6 - depart from Washington, DC
March 7 - arrive in Beijing...sleep...
March 8 and 9 - tour Beijing
March 10 - fly to the capital city of T's province - Wuhan (Hubei province) and prepare for "Gotcha Day!"
March 11 - Gotcha Day!
March 12 - complete adoption paperwork
March 13 and 14 - touring
March 15 - fly to Guangzhou
March 16 - visa medical exam and TB test
March 17 - touring
March 18 - pick up paper work and prepare for visa interview
March 19 - visa interview at the US Consulate
March 20 - pick up T's visa and travel by train to Hong Kong
March 21 - fly home (with a stop over in Tokyo, Japan!)

We are so excited - nervous - anxious - overwhelmed. We are in the midst of all the packing and cleaning up, preparing, and details, and more details. More expenses as we buy some needed things for travel (like all the little carry-on American Touristers at Wal-Mart!). I keep crossing things off the list only to remember something else I need to add to the list.

Please pray for our travels, our new daughter's transition, our health while away, our little girls here at home (at my sister's), and for the many details that we are trying to attend to.

Pray also about the storm that is being forecast. There has barely been any snow here all winter and now we are hearing rumors of a mega March storm headed this way on - yes, you guessed it, WEDNESDAY MORNING - the day we are to drive up to DC and fly out of Virginia! This might necessitate an early departure for us - driving up to DC on Tuesday night to miss the snow - but the snow is forecast for DC as well...sigh...

Scared and grateful. Nervous and happy. Nevertheless, feeling blessed...

Hi Likeschocolate! Many thanks for your comments and checking in. I so appreciate the prayers. It's so exciting and scary at the same time. Since I have done this before, I also know that it is the most amazing thing ever...

So exciting! You're going to get T so soon!

Praying that you see God's hand going before you, particularly in regards to the storm. That He holds it off until after you've left, or provides a great alternative to allow you to get off without your whole schedule being thrown off.

And praying that God gives you guys peace every step of the way, and that T's heart, as well, is filled with peace and that He's been preparing her for the day you guys arrive!

Julie! I heard about the storm last night at church - immediately thought of you and your family - knowing you'd be traveling. God is great and will see you through it all. We'll be following events here at our home - praying for all of you and all involved in bringing Ting back to her home with you in the 'ville - as Frank calls it.

In Peace and Prayer -
Sandy
